Brief outline of 0083 Stardust Memory

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory is a 13-episode OVA series set in the Universal Century timeline, specifically U.C. 0083, taking place between the events of Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. The series focuses on the rivalry between two skilled pilots, Kou Uraki and Anavel Gato, amidst a tumultuous political landscape. The story begins when Anavel Gato, an ace pilot of the Principality of Zeon known as the "Nightmare of Solomon," infiltrates the Earth Federation's Torrington Base in Australia. He steals the prototype Gundam GP02A "Physalis" equipped with a nuclear warhead. In response, rookie pilot Kou Uraki, stationed at the same base, takes control of the Gundam GP01 "Zephyranthes" to pursue Gato and recover the stolen mobile suit. Throughout the series, Kou's and Gato's paths repeatedly cross as part of a larger conflict called "Operation Stardust".
In addition to the GP01 and GP02A Gundams, the series features several other mobile suits such as the MS-06F2 Zaku II F2 Type, the MS-09F/trop Dom Tropen, and the AGX-04 Gerbera Tetra, a high-performance mobile suit piloted by Cima Garahau.
The RX-78GP03 Gundam "Dendrobium", an advanced and heavily-armed Gundam used by Kou in the series' climax, is another iconic mobile suit showcased in 0083. Stardust Memory explores themes of loyalty, ambition, and the consequences of war while highlighting the personal rivalry between Kou and Gato, foreshadowing the events of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Stardust Memories, as it's predecessor in the timeline Thunderbolt departs from the more realistic designs featured in the original 0079 and instead showcases far heavier suits, with weaponry showcased even while on standby and abandoning agile silhouettes for thick-armoured ones, as showcased by the main suits, the GP series.
