GUNDAM RG -40- RX-78-2 GUNDAM VER 2.0
As is tradition, when certain milestones are hit BANDAI brings those back to the one that started it all, the RX-78-2 and so, the brand new RG RX-78-2 2.0 was born!
An improved internal frame, both in terms of mechanical detail and supporting capabilities remains hidden underneath the highly detailed armour pieces that are attached on top of it, turning the building of the model into a more organic experience.
One of the main issues of the original RG were the joints and the core block, which has been massively improved on this re-do, thanks to improved engineering and new takes on how to handle axis of movement while the legs themselves feature a completely new system of joints to support the weight the Gramps will be carrying.
The design of the suit itself has closely followed the aesthetics showcased in the '79 anime while adding small details onto it, such as functional blocks that create the panel lines, extra details such as magazine drums or cheek ducts around the head and two-tones all over it.
Finally, the Core Fighter can transform into the Core Block with a brand new auxiliary joint system, with even the chest armour that covers the cockpit being mobile.
